If there's one thing Spain does better than anywhere, it's the fiesta. Almost every town has its own patron-saint celebration, and the summer is one long run of ferias, verbenas, processions and fire festivals — bonfires on Midsummer's Eve, the great August fairs with their flamenco and fairgrounds, Moors and Christians re-enactments, and maritime processions that carry saints out to sea.
