Sala Pleamar Summer Art Exhibitions
A free seafront gallery next to the Tourist Office hosting a rotating program of local artists and collective shows all summer, including the annual 'Art by the Sea' exhibition. Easy to drop into during a beach day.
Right at the water's edge by the Tourist Office, this little municipal gallery swaps its show roughly every week through the summer, so there's usually something new on the walls. The programme leans local: solo turns from painters like Maria Artnow, Paquita Poyatos and Joaquín García, plus group shows pulling together work from art students taught around the town. The annual highlight is "Art a la vora de la mar" (Art by the Sea), a collective exhibition that gathers the participating artists under one roof.
It's street-level and free to wander in, which makes it an easy ten minutes off the sand when the midday sun gets too much. Don't expect a grand museum; expect a friendly room of Mediterranean-flavoured work, often with the artists themselves not far away. Worth a look on your way to or from the beach.
