San Diego Comic-Con picked Málaga for its European outpost, and the second edition runs 1 to 4 October 2026 at FYCMA, the city's exhibition centre. It is a genuinely large thing — international guests, studio panels, an exhibition floor, screenings — dropped into a city that in early October is still in the mid-twenties.
What to expect. Panels and signings with film, television, comics, animation and games professionals, an exhibitor hall, and several thousand people in costume. Programming is announced in stages through the summer; among the confirmed guests this year is visual-effects artist Myriam S. Castillo, appearing on the 2nd and 3rd. Tickets are sold by day and by pass, and the big days sell out.
Practical bit. FYCMA is on the edge of the city with its own metro stop, so you can stay in the centre and ride out. If you are coming from along the coast, the Fuengirola–Málaga train runs every twenty minutes and beats the traffic. Book accommodation early — Comic-Con weekend clears Málaga's hotels.
