What's on in Aigües
Aigües is a tiny inland village in the hills behind Alicante, set back from the busy Costa Blanca coast among pine slopes and almond terraces. The name means "waters", after the springs that drew people here, and it stays small, quiet and very Spanish — the sort of place you visit for the mountain air and a slower pace rather than a beach.
The village comes to life once a year for its Patron Saint Festival and Moors and Christians, when the costumed parades and processions take over the narrow streets. Here's what's on while you're here.
