If you are making the trip up to Guadalest for the castle and the views, the Casa Orduña museum gives you a reason to linger a little longer. Set inside the old mansion, this show pairs two painters: Candy López's colour-driven "Pigmentos" and Nati Pamies's "Pintando la Vida", whose title translates as painting life. Neither is a big-name blockbuster, and that is rather the point. It is a quiet half hour among the stone rooms, with the canvases hung against the museum's old walls.
The exhibition is open every day from 10am to 7pm, so there is no need to time your visit, and entry comes with your museum ticket. Pair it with a wander through the rest of the house and you have a gentle afternoon away from the coastal crowds.
