Cycle of Young Orchestras (2nd edition)
A five-concert classical series at the Infanta Doña Elena auditorium featuring leading Spanish youth orchestras, opening on 7 July with the Joven Orquesta Nacional de España. Tickets are cheap (€6 a concert, €23 for the season) and music needs no translation.
Five young Spanish orchestras spread across nine months, all at the Infanta Doña Elena auditorium in Águilas. It opens at 8.30pm on 7 July with the Joven Orquesta Nacional de España, the country's flagship youth ensemble and a real coup for a town this size. Then it works through the calendar: Valencia's federated youth orchestra on 6 September, Cartagena's on 29 December, Murcia's conservatory orchestra in February, and Alicante's young players to close on 24 April 2027.
What you get for €6 a ticket is genuinely good playing without the big-city concert-hall prices. The €23 season pass works out at well under a fiver a concert if you're around long enough to catch them all. These are full symphonic evenings, so it's worth checking the night's programme before you book.
