What's on in Daya Nueva

Daya Nueva is a tiny village on the Vega Baja plain of the southern Costa Blanca, inland from Guardamar among the irrigated farmland of the Segura valley. It's a small, traditional Valencian community of a couple of thousand people, built around its church and square, with a strong agricultural heart and a growing number of Northern-European residents. There's no coast and no resort bustle — just flat green fields, citrus and a slow village rhythm.

The big date is the Fiestas Patronales de San Miguel Arcángel, the patron saint festival, while the Museo La Alquería tells the story of local history and popular culture. Here's what's on while you're here.
