What's on in Foios
Foios is a small town on Valencia's huerta, the flat market-garden belt just north of the city where chufa and vegetables grow between the orchards. It's an everyday Valencian place rather than a holiday spot — a working town a few minutes from the coast and an easy metro ride into Valencia itself, which makes it a quiet, local base rather than a resort.
The calendar centres on the Foios patron-saint fiestas in honour of the Mare de Déu del Patrocini, the town's main week of processions, music and street celebration, while the Pride Night concert with Liz Dust & The Royal Tribu adds a livelier summer evening. Here's what's on while you're here.
