What's on in Jávea
Jávea sits at the northern, prettier end of the Costa Blanca, tucked under the great headland of the Montgó. It's really three places in one — a quiet stone old town inland, the working port, and the Arenal beach strip — and it has kept a calmer, more family feel than the resorts further south, popular with Northern-European visitors who return year after year.
Midsummer brings the Fogueres de Sant Joan, the town's fire fiesta with bonfires, bous a la mar bull-running into the sea and fireworks, while the Mare de Déu de Loreto festival celebrates the port's fishing patron later in the summer. Here's what's on while you're here.
