What's on in la Vila Joiosa/Villajoyosa
La Vila Joiosa, or Villajoyosa, is a working fishing port on the Costa Blanca, famous for the row of brightly painted houses along its seafront — said to have been colour-coded so returning fishermen could pick out their homes from the sea. It's also Spain's chocolate town, home to the old Valor factory, and it keeps a real Spanish working life behind the beach.
