What's on in Los Alcázares

Los Alcázares sits on the shore of the Mar Menor, the warm, shallow saltwater lagoon that
defines this stretch of the Costa Cálida. The water is calm and barely deeper than head
height a long way out, which has made the town a steady favourite with families and with
anyone taking the lagoon's old mud-bath cure. It is a low-rise, unflashy place built around
the beach and a row of seafood restaurants. The fiesta highlight is the seafront air show,
the Festival Aéreo, alongside the patron-saint and Virgen del Carmen celebrations through
the summer. This is the place to see what's on while you're here.
