What's on in Maó

Maó (Mahón) is Menorca's capital, wrapped around one of the largest natural harbours in the Mediterranean — a long, deep inlet that the Royal Navy prized in the 18th century, leaving the town with an unmistakably Georgian look. It's an elegant, low-key place of shuttered townhouses, the gin distillery that came with the British, and a working port still busy with ferries and fishing boats.
