What's on in Marbella

Marbella is the glamorous end of the Costa del Sol, famous for the yachts and designer shops of Puerto Banús and a long run of beach clubs and golf resorts under the wall of La Concha mountain. What surprises first-timers is the old town behind it all — a genuine Andalusian quarter of narrow lanes, orange trees and the Plaza de los Naranjos, where ordinary local life carries on a few streets from the marble and money.
