What's on in Mazagón

Mazagón is a quiet beach town on the Huelva coast, set between the pine woods on the fringe
of Doñana and miles of wide Atlantic sand backed by some of the highest dunes in the
province. There is little to it beyond a marina, a scatter of holiday homes and long,
uncrowded beaches — which is exactly the appeal for families after space and calm rather
than nightlife. It makes an easy base for the Doñana National Park and the Columbus sites at
nearby Palos and Moguer. When the summer fiestas and the Virgen del Carmen procession come
round, this is where to check what's on.
