What's on in Torremolinos

Torremolinos was one of the first Costa del Sol resorts and still wears that history lightly — long beaches, a lively seafront and an easy, English-friendly feel. The best bit is La Carihuela, the old fishing quarter, where low whitewalled streets run down to a beach lined with chiringuitos grilling sardines on spits.

La Carihuela keeps the local traditions alive with its Virgen del Carmen sea procession and the Feria del Carmen. The town's own Feria de San Miguel in autumn is the big one, with Puro Latino Fest and a summer artisan night market in between. Here's what's on while you're here.
