Tasta l'Estiu 2026 - Summer Tasting Series
A summer series of five evening tastings spotlighting local Benitatxell producers: muscatel wine, craft beer, carob sweets, village honey and traditional foods. A relaxed, low-cost way to taste the area's small-scale food and drink. Sign up online and pay a symbolic 3 EUR (first session free).
Benitatxell's tourism office runs this as five separate evenings spread across the summer, each one handed over to a different local maker. You start on 19 June with muscatel from BioMoscatell, the area's sweet-wine speciality, and that first session is free. After that it's craft beer from Cervezas Althaia in July, then carob sweets, village honey, and a final evening of wine and traditional bits from Melicatessen in August. Three euros a head, which barely covers the glass in your hand.
The catch is the sign-up. Each tasting opens for booking only after the previous one finishes, so you can't grab the whole series at once. You fill in a form online, transfer the three euros to a Spanish bank account within 48 hours, then email proof. One person can book for the whole family. Small, low-key, and properly local rather than put on for visitors.
