Empuriabrava Night Market
A summer-long evening market along the Empuriabrava seafront promenade, with craft, gift and food stalls running into the night. Easy to wander after dinner with the sea breeze - just show up.
The stalls go up along the seafront promenade most evenings through the summer, opening around six and staying lit until half eleven. It's the sort of thing you stumble into rather than plan for: handmade jewellery and leather, candles, sunhats and beach bits, the odd painting, and food stands turning out something to nibble as you walk. The sea is right there, the air cools off after a hot day, and nobody's in a rush.
Come after dinner and join the slow drift of families, couples and dog-walkers doing laps of the promenade. Entry's free, so there's no pressure to buy - plenty of people just window-shop, grab an ice cream and watch the boats. It runs nightly from mid-June to late September, which makes it an easy fallback on an evening when you can't be bothered to organise anything more.
