Costa Brava Tango Festival
A four-day Argentine tango festival bringing milongas, live music and dance to seaside Sant Feliu de Guíxols. Open-air and venue-based sessions make it easy to watch even if you don't dance.
For four days in June, Sant Feliu de Guíxols swaps its usual seaside hum for the slow pull of Argentine tango. Dancers gather for milongas, workshops and live music across a handful of spots around town, including a court right on the Passeig del Mar by the beach, plus the Las Vegas events hall and the Corxera pavilion. You'll hear bandoneón drifting out into warm evening air while couples turn through the steps.
You don't need to dance a single beat to enjoy it. The Saturday session at the Corxera pavilion, roughly late afternoon into the early evening, is open to the public free of charge, so you can wander in, grab a seat and just watch the regulars at work. It's a quieter, more grown-up sort of evening out, and all the better for it.
