Cunit Summer Festival (Festa Major d'Estiu) 2026
Cunit's big summer fiesta runs for ten days with concerts (orquestra La Principal de la Bisbal, Mama Dousha), a Holi-style colour party, parades, giant figures and folk dances. Highlights are the beachfront fireworks castle on 11 July and the playful 'Mullats vs Cremats' (Water team vs Fire team) competition that crowns a winner on 13 July.
For ten days in early July, Cunit splits itself in two. The town divides into the Mullats (water team) and Cremats (fire team), each rallying behind its own giant figure, and spends the fiesta trading quirky contests until a winner is declared at the Rambla del Prat on 13 July. Expect street parades led by towering processional giants, a Holi-style colour party that leaves everyone dusted in powder, and a correfoc where devil-costumed runners trail sparks through the crowd.
The headline night is 11 July, when fireworks go up straight off the beach after dark. Concerts fill Plaça Jaume Vidal, with La Principal de la Bisbal and Mama Dousha among the names. Food trucks gather near the evening venues, and the whole thing winds down with havaneres and burnt rum. It's all free, and the streets do the rest.
