El Remolí - Young Contemporary Art Exhibition
A collective exhibition of contemporary visual art by young creators (aged 16-35) from the Baix Penedes region, shown across two town venues. A free walk-in show for anyone curious about the local emerging art scene.
This is a chance to see what the under-35s of the Baix Penedes are actually making right now. Local artists put forward whatever they fancied — there was no set theme, and no rules about medium — so you'll find painting and photography hanging next to video work, sculpture, installation, collage and a fair bit of digital art. The result is a bit of a grab bag, in the best way: some pieces will land, some won't, and that's rather the point of a show like this.
It splits across two spots in El Vendrell, the Sala Portal del Pardo and the Terra Baixa library, so it pairs nicely with a wander round the town. Entry's free, you can just walk in, and it runs from late November into the middle of January — handy if you're around over the festive stretch and want a quiet hour out of the cold.
