Palos was where the Niña and Pinta came home in 1493, and once a year the old town leans hard into that. The lanes around San Jorge fill with more than 200 traders' stalls, and a parade of some 400 costumed locals winds through at midday, banners and all. Wander between the leatherworkers and candle-makers, watch a medieval tournament play out, catch some theatre on a street corner, and let the kids loose on the craft workshops.
It runs over two days, usually in mid-March, near the anniversary of the caravels' return. Entry is free, the food stalls are part of the fun, and the whole thing has the slightly chaotic, lived-in feel of a town that actually enjoys doing this. Worth an afternoon if you're on the Costa de la Luz around then. Do double-check the dates before you set off.
