Flower Days in Son Bou
A floral celebration in the seaside resort of Son Bou, with flower displays and decorations brightening the area for a week. A pretty, walk-around event combining easily with a day at one of Menorca's longest beaches.
For a week each June, Son Bou swaps its usual beach-resort buzz for something gentler. Flowers go up along the streets and around the seafront, with displays and decorations turning the walk between bars and the sand into a slower, prettier stroll. It is a low-key affair rather than a big parade, so the plan is simple: wander, look, take your time.
The real draw is pairing it with the beach. Son Bou has one of the longest stretches of sand in Menorca, so you can spend the morning in the water, then drift back through the decorated streets with an ice cream as the day cools. It costs nothing to join in, and it suits families and anyone after a quiet day with a bit of colour thrown in. This year it runs from 20 to 28 June.
