Tapas Month in Alaior
A town-wide tapas crawl through June, where Alaior's bars and restaurants serve special tapas, often paired with a drink at a set price. A tasty, low-commitment way to eat your way around the village.
Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through June, eleven bars and restaurants in Alaior each put out one tapa made specially for the occasion, all priced at a flat 5 euros. So you wander from place to place, ordering a single clever plate at each rather than committing to a full meal anywhere. The line-up runs from octopus montadito with sobrassada to a pulled-pork bao bun, with a tiramisu or cheesecake waiting at the end of the route.
There's a passport, too: collect a stamp at all eleven and you go into a draw for a free tapas round on the last weekend of the month. Alaior sits inland, away from the resorts, so this is more everyday Menorca than holiday strip. Go hungry, take the old streets slowly, and let the next plate decide where you head.
