What's on in Arafo

Arafo is a small town on the green eastern slopes of Tenerife, in the Güímar valley, with vineyards and pine forest climbing behind it and the coast a short way below. It's known across the island for its bands — Arafo is something of a music town, with two historic música ensembles — and for the volcanic landscape of the upper valley. Quiet and unhurried, it sees little tourism and keeps a strong local feel.
