What's on in Canet d'En Berenguer
Canet d'En Berenguer is a small seaside town just north of Sagunto on the Valencia coast, with a long, wide beach of fine sand backed by low-rise apartments and pine. It's mostly a Spanish summer-holiday spot, busy in August and sleepy out of season, with the great Roman and medieval hilltop town of Sagunto a few minutes inland for a day out. The pace is gentle and the beach is the main event.
Sant Pere is the town's patron saint festival, and the year's most atmospheric night is Sant Joan, when bonfires are lit on the beach for midsummer. There's even a Guau Canet dog festival for visitors travelling with four-legged company. Here's what's on while you're here.
