Guau Canet Fest (Dog Festival)
A family-friendly dog festival with canine training demos, games and activities, street entertainment, a paella and a bar. A relaxed day out for animal lovers in the town gardens. Note: the 2026 edition has passed; the next edition is expected around May 2027.
If you're travelling with a dog, or just fond of them, this small festival in Canet d'en Berenguer is an easy, friendly way to spend a morning. It takes over the Blasco Ibanez gardens, where trainers put dogs through their paces in demos, there are games and a bit of street entertainment, and the usual Valencian rhythm of paella and a bar keeps everyone fed and happy. Entry is free.
It's a genuinely local affair rather than a polished tourist event, which is rather the point. Plenty of well-behaved dogs, families milling about, and a relaxed pace. The 2026 edition has been and gone, so you're looking ahead to the next one, expected around May 2027. Worth pencilling in if you're on the Costa de Valencia that time of year.
