What's on in El Masnou
El Masnou is a smart little seaside town on the Maresme coast just north of Barcelona, an easy commute up the line. It made its money from the Catalan sailors and "indianos" who sailed to the Americas and came home rich, and their grand houses still line the streets above a marina and a long beach. It's relaxed and residential, more local than touristy.
The town's big celebration is the Sant Pere Festa Major, the patron-saint festival, when the streets fill with music, fireworks and processions. Here's what's on while you're here.
