What's on in Finestrat

Finestrat is really two places. The old village sits inland under the great limestone wall of the Puig Campana, a tight cluster of houses on a rocky outcrop with long views down to the coast. Below it, on the sea, the small resort of Cala de Finestrat tucks into a cove next door to Benidorm — close to the bright lights, but a good deal quieter.

Summer brings a gentle local programme: the long-running 'Song by the Sea' choral gathering, a Copla night with the Orquestina Iris of Altea la Vella, flamenco from the Neira & Santamaría dance company, and beach cinema under the stars. Here's what's on while you're here.
