What's on in La Pobla de Farnals
La Pobla de Farnals is a small town just north of Valencia, split between an inland village among the market gardens of the Huerta and a low-key beach district a couple of miles away on the coast. It's a quiet, family Valencian spot — a working farming community with a stretch of sand and a marina rather than a built-up resort, popular with Valencians themselves in summer.
The traditions here run to food and music. The Day of the Calderes sees a communal rice stew cooked in great pots, the Festes Majors honour the patron saints, and the summer Fira d'Estiu fills July and August with cultural events — even Handel's baroque opera Rodelinda gets a staging. Here's what's on while you're here.
