What's on in Los Montesinos
Los Montesinos is a small inland town on the Vega Baja plain of the southern Costa Blanca, a young municipality surrounded by the salt lakes and farmland near Torrevieja. It's an everyday Spanish town rather than a beach resort, with a sizeable settled British community and the pink Torrevieja salt lagoon just down the road. Quiet, flat and unpretentious, it's more about local life than landmarks.
Summer is sociable here. The Ruta de la Tapa sends you round the bars on a tapas trail, Summer Fest welcomes the season with an open-air party, the San Juan bonfires mark midsummer, and the town holds its own Pride. Here's what's on while you're here.
