Pick up a ballot card from any of the roughly 25 taking part, or from the town hall, and Los Montesinos turns into one big, easygoing pub crawl with food. Each bar puts out one special tapa, paired with a drink, for EUR 3.50 — some sticking to old favourites, others getting inventive to win your vote. Get it stamped, move on, repeat.
Sample at least six different ones and you can mark your favourite and drop your card into the draw for a couple of free meals at local restaurants. Most places run from late morning until around 11pm, so there's no rush. The winning tapa earns its cook proper bragging rights for the year. It runs over two days each spring; the 2026 edition was in April, so check ahead for the next dates before you set off.
