Meliana is a small town in the Horta Nord, the market-garden belt just north of Valencia city. This is classic huerta country — flat, irrigated farmland threaded with old water channels, growing the vegetables that feed the city. It's an everyday Valencian town, handy for the city and the coast but rooted in farming.
Its events celebrate exactly that. The Meliana Tomato Fair puts the local crop centre stage, and FIMEL, the town fair now in its 27th edition, gathers trade and food stalls.
