What's on in Oropesa del Mar
Oropesa del Mar sits on the Costa del Azahar, the "orange-blossom coast" north of Castellón, with an old watchtower town on a headland between two long beaches. Once a small fishing settlement, it's grown into a family-holiday resort — including the vast Marina d'Or complex — but keeps a quieter old core and a marina between the sandy bays.
The summer mixes fiesta and the arts. The San Juan and San Pedro fiestas open the season, the Virgen del Carmen maritime procession honours the fishermen's saint, and the calendar makes room for the ORFIM international music festival and the long-running Titéres a la Mar puppet festival for families. Here's what's on while you're here.
