Sant Pere Pescador is a quiet village on the flat Empordà plain at the northern end of the Costa Brava, set just back from a long, wide beach where the Fluvià river meets the sea. It's apple-orchard and campsite country — a windsurfing and kitesurfing favourite thanks to the steady tramuntana — and far calmer than the resort towns to the south.
