What's on in Santa Lucía de Tirajana

Santa Lucía de Tirajana is a big, spread-out municipality in the south-east of Gran Canaria, running from the apartment-and-beach sprawl around Vecindario and the coast up into the dry ravines and the old hill village of Santa Lucía itself, with its palms and little fortress-style church. Most visitors stay near the coast, but the real character is inland and agricultural — this is working Gran Canaria rather than the tourist strip.
