Noche de Fuego: Open-Air Concerts & Fireworks
A free open-air San Juan night at the Pozo Izquierdo ravine with fireworks and water displays set to live music. Tribute bands La otra Oreja (La Oreja de Van Gogh) at 20:30 and Rayando el Sol (Maná) at 22:30, with DJ Ulises Acosta between sets.
San Juan is the night Spain says goodbye to spring with fire, and Pozo Izquierdo does it down by the water. The setting is the barranquillo, a little ravine near the coast, where things kick off around half eight with La otra Oreja running through La Oreja de Van Gogh's softer hits. Maná tribute Rayando el Sol takes over at half ten, with DJ Ulises Acosta filling the gap between.
The real draw is the fuegos acuáticos, fireworks set off over the water so the sky and the sea both light up at once. It's free, it's outdoors, and it leans local rather than touristy. Bring a jacket for when the breeze comes off the Atlantic, and don't expect it to wind down early. San Juan nights tend to run long.
