What's on in Santa Úrsula
Santa Úrsula is a green hillside town on the north coast of Tenerife, above La Orotava, where banana plantations and old vineyards step down towards the sea and the views back to Mount Teide are hard to beat. It's a residential, working community rather than a tourist spot, known locally for its wine and its terraces of restaurants looking out over the Atlantic. Quiet most of the year, it comes alive for its fiestas.
The town's patron saint festivities are the big date, while the Carnival brings costumes and music to the streets in late winter, and the weekly farmers' market is the place for local wine and produce. Here's what's on while you're here.
