What's on in Torreblanca

Torreblanca is a quiet inland town on the Costa del Azahar, north of Castellón, with its modest beach resort of Torrenostra a couple of kilometres away on the coast. Between the two lies a protected wetland of lagoons and reedbeds, good for birds and walks. This is the orange-blossom coast at its least developed — a working town with a simple seafront, long sandy beaches and none of the high-rise sprawl found further south.

The patron saint festivities for San Bartolomé bring the town together in late August, the Noche de San Juan lights bonfires on the beach for midsummer, and a summer night market sets up at Torrenostra. Here's what's on while you're here.
