What's on in Vilassar de Mar

Vilassar de Mar is a small seaside town on the Maresme coast just north of Barcelona, an easy train ride up the line. It grew rich on seafaring and the flower trade — it's still one of Catalonia's main cut-flower centres — and keeps a tidy, lived-in feel, with a long beach and a town that gets on with its own life rather than playing to tourists.
