SelvaTast — Wine, Food & Art Weekend
A relaxed village weekend dedicated to wine, gastronomy, art and local culture in the tiny stone village of La Selva de Mar. Saturday afternoon brings tastings from eight local wineries paired with food and live music; Sunday adds open-air sketching, watercolour workshops and children's crafts. The 2026 edition ran 30-31 May; expect a similar late-spring/early-summer edition in 2027.
La Selva de Mar is a knot of stone houses just inland from the Cap de Creus, the sort of place you'd drive past without a reason to stop. For one weekend in late spring it fills its little square, Plaça Camp de l'Obra, with eight wineries from the surrounding hills, plates from the village restaurants and a swing band playing into the evening. Tasting tickets are sold on the day; entry costs nothing, so you can wander in and decide as you go.
There's a quieter side on the Sunday. Artists set up around the lanes for live sketching and watercolour, there are workshops you can join, and the children get their own craft session. Easy to fold into a slow day on the Costa Brava if you're nearby.
