Mares de Papel Festival (7th Edition)
Mazarrón's flagship summer festival packs concerts, comedy, tributes and live shows into the July–August calendar, mostly free of charge. Highlights include Diana Navarro (18 Jul), Duncan Dhu (1 Aug) and Revólver (8 Aug), plus a jazz festival and chamber-music series.
Mazarrón throws a lot at the summer, and most of it costs nothing. From late May into September the town runs a steady programme of concerts, tribute acts, stand-up comedy, magic shows and family musicals, with the bigger names taking the main stage at the Complejo Deportivo. Diana Navarro plays on 18 July, Duncan Dhu on 1 August and Revólver on 8 August, alongside a jazz festival and a chamber-music series for quieter evenings.
Down at the port, the Paseo Agustín Herrerín handles the gentler end of things: poetry readings, film nights, food fairs and talks, all with the sea a few steps away. Seating is free but first-come, first-served, so turn up early for the popular shows. A handful of headline acts may ask you to reserve a place in advance.
