Bicycle Festival - 36th Edition (Festa de la Bicicleta)
A 36th-edition family bike ride through town, with prize categories and a raffle of bicycles and sports gear. This year it carries a Tour de France theme, as the race passes through Cubelles on 5 July.
Cubelles has been doing this every year for more than three decades, and it's exactly the sort of low-key local outing that's easy to fall in with. Everyone gathers at the Poliesportiu Municipal to register, then sets off on a gentle ride through town together. It's not a race. Two euros gets you in, the money goes to charity, and there are prizes handed out for things like the oldest bike on the day and the most original turnout, so it's worth making a bit of an effort.
This year leans into the Tour de France, which rolls through Cubelles on 5 July, so expect themed decorations and a bit of cycling fever in the air. Stick around for the raffle too: bikes, sports kit and other bits donated by the organisers and local sponsors. Bring the kids, bring a bike, and don't take it too seriously.
