Luna de Verano Summer Festival
Moguer and Mazagón's 32nd summer culture festival fills warm evenings with dozens of mostly free open-air music, theatre, dance, circus, art and film events at atmospheric venues like the Almohad castle and the Mazagón lighthouse. Runs from 11 July through August.
Once the heat eases off, Moguer and neighbouring Mazagón put on a run of open-air evenings that has now reached its 32nd year. The line-up shifts night to night across the summer: live music, theatre, dance, a bit of circus, art and the odd outdoor film, scattered around squares and public spaces rather than one fixed stage. Most of it is free, with only a handful of ticketed shows, so you can wander in and see what's on without much planning.
The settings are half the appeal. Some nights run inside the walls of Moguer's old Almohad castle; others gather down at the lighthouse in Mazagón, with the sea close by. It starts on 11 July and carries on through August. Worth pairing with a slow dinner beforehand and a late stroll after.
