What's on in Moguer
Moguer is a handsome old town in Huelva's flat strawberry country, near the Tinto estuary the early explorers sailed from — it was here that crews for Columbus's first voyage were recruited. It's a literary town too, the birthplace of poet Juan Ramón Jiménez, with a whitewashed convent and quiet, sunlit streets a short drive from the Costa de la Luz beaches.
The town keeps the flamenco flame alight with its long-running Moguer Flamenco Festival, now in its 52nd year, while the Luna de Verano summer festival brings warmer-weather concerts and events. Here's what's on while you're here.
