Jazz en la Costa 2026 — Almuñécar
One of Spain's most respected jazz festivals, played open-air in a subtropical botanical park.
Almuñécar's Jazz en la Costa is one of the longest-running and best-regarded jazz festivals in Spain, now well past its 35th edition. Concerts are held after dark in the Parque El Majuelo, a subtropical botanical garden beside a Roman fish-salting site and below the castle — a setting that draws serious international names to this stretch of the Granada coast each July.
What to expect. A handful of nights of high-quality jazz in an intimate open-air park, with the warm Costa Tropical climate guaranteeing balmy evenings. The line-up and precise dates are announced each spring; confirm before you book around it.
Practical bit. Almuñécar sits on the coast below the Sierra Nevada, roughly an hour from both Málaga and Granada and not quick to reach by bus late at night. A hire car makes the festival easy and lets you pair it with the tropical-fruit valleys, the beaches at La Herradura and a day up in Granada.
