Brisa Marina Local Trade & Craft Fair (Arinaga)

For one weekend each June, Arinaga's Avenida Polizón fills up with stalls selling the sort of things actual local makers turn out: leather goods, worked stone, handmade jewellery, aromatic candles, books and dolls, with a handful of nearby restaurants doing the food. It has grown from a modest 20 stands to around 56, and the mood stays relaxed rather than frantic, more a stroll-and-chat affair than a hard sell.

Bands like Aquarela and Superroket keep things going across the three days, and there are bouncy castles, kids' workshops and a magician to occupy younger ones. One quiet highlight last time was a public textile-weaving demonstration that drew a real crowd. Entry is free, so it costs you nothing to wander down, pick up something handmade and see what the local artisans are up to.
