II Vegan and Gluten-Free Fair
A two-day food fair in Haría's main square showcasing sustainable, vegan and gluten-free Canarian gastronomy, with local producers and tastings. Held during the 2026 San Juan festivities (13-14 June); a third edition is expected around the same time in 2027.
Haría's pretty palm-shaded square fills with stalls for a weekend each summer, all of it vegan and gluten-free, and timed to land alongside the town's San Juan celebrations. Local producers do the selling, so you can taste your way around plant-based Canarian cooking and pick up the sort of things you won't find in the supermarket. The nicest touch is a hands-on demo tracing millet from the field through to gofio, the toasted island staple that's been on Lanzarote tables for generations.
There's more going on than eating. Expect cookery showcases, children's recycling and baking sessions, and the odd yoga or pilates class laid on through the day. Entry is free, the pace is gentle, and it's an easy, low-key morning if you're staying in the north of the island.
