Bio Ritmos World Music Festival
A free open-air world music festival on the seafront amphitheatre at Las Cucharas beach in Costa Teguise, organised by the Casa-Museo del Timple. The 2026 edition (12 June) featured Entre Ilhas, Mosquera Celtic Band, Compania Pieles and Too Brass Band, blending Macaronesian, Galician and Canarian sounds; this year's date has passed, with the next edition expected around June 2027.
Costa Teguise has an open-air amphitheatre right above Las Cucharas beach, and for one evening each June the Casa-Museo del Timple fills it with music from across the Atlantic. The sound leans Macaronesian, which is a fancy way of saying it pulls together the islands and coasts off this corner of the world: Canarian rhythms, Galician folk with its bagpipes and fiddles, and threads from further out. Past line-ups have run from Entre Ilhas to a Celtic band, brass and percussion outfits, so the mood shifts from gentle to foot-stamping as the night goes on.
It's free, it's by the sea, and you'll likely catch the last of the sunset over the water before the stage lights take over. The date moves year to year, so check ahead before you build an evening around it.
