Regla Festival: Concert & Open-Air Verbena Dance
The festival's big night: an 8pm concert (Cafe con Leche and El Meneo) rolling into an 11pm open-air verbena dance with the Mambo Latino orchestra and Grupo Atlantico. Free, lively and easy to drop into.
This is the night Tinajo's Regla festival lets its hair down, and you don't need a ticket or an invitation to join in. Things kick off around 8pm in the Plaza de Tinajo, where Café con Leche and El Meneo share a stage for the first time, billed locally as "Un Meneo al Café con Leche." It's a proper Canarian gig: warm, loud, and full of people who've known each other their whole lives.
The real fun starts at 11pm, when the Mambo Latino orchestra and Grupo Atlántico strike up the verbena, an open-air dance that runs late into the warm summer night. Don't worry about knowing the steps. Grab a drink, find a spot near the band, and let the abuelas show you how it's done. It's free, friendly, and easy to wander into.
