Alart 2026 - Art Night in Alaró
An evening 'art night' that turns the whole village into an open gallery, with music, dance and visual-art exhibitions in municipal spaces, streets, galleries and restaurants. Free to wander and largely visual, so easy for non-Spanish speakers.
For one evening each June, the little Mallorcan village of Alaró hands its streets over to art. Doors that are usually shut swing open: galleries, restaurants, the Casal Son Tugores and a scatter of municipal spaces all become impromptu exhibition rooms. You drift from one to the next as the light goes, following music down a side street, stopping where a dancer or a wall of paintings catches your eye. It runs on for nearly two decades now, so locals treat it as part of their summer.
The nice thing for visitors is that almost none of it needs translating. It's free, you wander at your own pace, and the work does the talking. Come hungry too, since the restaurants are part of the show, and stay out late enough to see how the village fills up after dark.
